The adorning patterns of the three outdoors in the Kyongbokkung are mainly represented in the three states of it's, which is Kyoteajon(the Queen consort's residence), Kunjongjon(the King's official building), and Jakyongjon(the dowager queen's residence). The symbolic representation of a traditional pattern is all 31 species and in the upper ranking of preference the effects is as follows. That is a deer, bat, a crane, a youngji(thinking of immortality), Bonghwang image, a lotus, a chrysanthemum, a peony, a japanese apricot tree, and Hatae image. The symbolic meanings of a representative presentation in the outdoors space of the Kyongbokkung was analysed to pray a good health, a good fortune, a immortality and a longevity. The landscape objects adorning the traditional patterns is the stone troughs set on the sides of which a floral design is carved, and the wall or chimney laid up of colorful bricks which were beautifully decorated with various design.
