택견 기술 본대뵈기에 관한 연구 = A Study on Taekkyon Technique Bondae-boegi

his study approached the technical term of the intangible cultural asset Taekkyon, ‘Bondae-boegi’ from a perspective of technical history. As for research methods, the study employed the data collected from literature review and field survey related to the techniques of Taekkyon. The findings of this study were as below. The first emergence of Bondae as one of Taekkyon's technical terms was about the year 1973 and it was Han-Sung Shin who systematized it in a unique form. By combining Duk-ki Song's Taekkyon techniques with his uniquely devised ones, he could systematize the Bondae equivalent to the 'form' shown in other martial arts. Besides, he applied it in Taekkyon evaluations or introduced it in demonstrations. Then, Bondae was reconfigured in a form of ‘Bondae-boegi 12-madang’ around the year 1981, but it was not recorded in the report of the survey of designation of cultural assets drawn up in 1983. However, after being designated as one of the cultural assets, it has been re-incorporated into the components of Taekkyon to date.
