본 연구에서는 도시화의 영향을 분석하기 위해 기상관측자료, 재분석자료, WRF-UCM 수치 모의를 활용하여 21년간(2003-2023년)의 도시화의 영향을 분석하였다. 연구 대상 지역은 청주시로 하였고 연구 사례일은 8월 1일 0900 KST - 8월 6일 0800 KST 까지로 선정하였다. 먼저, 환경부 중분류 토지피복지도를 이용하여 청주시의 토지피복변화를 분석하였다. 청주시는 시가지의 비율이 2003년과 비교하여 2023년에는 3.1 %p 늘어났다. 하위유형별로는 주거지역이 0.8 %p 줄어들고 상업/공업/교통지역이 4.0 %p 늘어나 도시가 확장 되었음을 알 수 있었다. 기상관측소 자료를 활용하여 청주시의 도시화 영향 을 분석하기 위해 청주의 도심과 교외의 기상관측소를 선정하고 기상관측소 의 실측 기온 자료를 활용하여 도시-시골방법으로 분석하였다. 40년 동안 청주시의 점진적으로 상승하는 추세를 보였으며(0.087℃yr-1), 아노말리 분석결 과 2003년은 –0.79℃로 기준기온보다 낮았고, 2023년은 3.06℃로 기준기온보 다 높았다. 21년동안 도시와 시골의 기온의 일변화는 전형적인 기온의 일변 화 패턴을 보이며 도시(Mean=28.51℃, SD=2.24℃)는 시골(Mean=26.83℃, SD=2.84℃)보다 일관되게 높은 기온 값을 보였다. 도시편향크기는 일 평균기온 1.69℃, 주간평균기온 0.95℃, 야간평균기온 2.43℃로 나타나 도시와 시골의 차이는 야간에 가장 컸다. 도시 편향의 추세는 한반도 전체 의 도시 편향 추세가 감소를 나타낸 것과 대조적으로 모두 0보다 커 도시편향 시계열의 증가추세를 나타냈다. 21년 동안의 도시화 기여도는 일평균기온 에서 1.05℃(3.67 %), 주간평균기온에서 0.28℃(0.93 %), 야간평균기온에서 1.80℃(6.66 %)로 추정되었다. 본 연구에서는 기상관측자료와 재분석자료를 활용하여 도시화의 영향을 분석하기 위해 충청지역(충북, 충남, 대전, 세종)의 기상관측소 82곳의 기상관측자료와 ERA5 재분석자료를 활용하였다. 기상관측자료와 ERA5 재분석자료의 차이를 이용해 추정한 2003년부터 2023년까지 의 21년동안 청주시의 도시화 효과는 야간평균기온에서 2.95℃(SD=1.58℃), 주간평균기온에서 2.52℃(SD=1.30℃), 일평균기온에서 0.40℃(SD=2.19℃)로 추 정되었다. 또한, 본 연구에서는 WRF-UCM 수치모의를 활용하여 토지피복의 영향을 분석하기 위해 2003년과 2023년의 환경부 중분류 토지피복지도 자료와 LDAPS, FNL 자료를 활용해 WRF-UCM 수치 모의를 실시하였다. 2023년 토지피복지도와 2003년 토지피복지도를 이용해 추정한 2003년부터 2023년까지의 토지피복변화의 영향은 야간평균기온에서 0.15℃(SD=0.70℃), 주간평균 기온에서 0.14℃(SD=0.57℃), 일평균기온에서 0.12℃(SD=0.41℃)로 추정되었 다. WRF-UCM 수치모의를 활용하여 기후변동의 영향을 분석하고 도시화의 기여도를 추정하기 위해 2003년과 2023년의 환경부 중분류 토지피복지도 자료와 FNL 자료를 활용해 WRF-UCM 수치 모의를 실시하였다. 2003년부터 2023년까지의 기후변동의 영향은 일평균기온에서 2.61℃(SD=0.45℃), 주간평균기온에서 3.49℃(SD=0.46℃), 야간평균기온에서 2.40℃(SD=0.42℃)로 추정되 었다. 그리고 2003년부터 2023년까지의 기후변동과 도시화의 중첩된 영향은 일평균기온에서 2.66℃(SD=0.49℃), 주간평균기온에서 3.50℃(SD=0.51℃), 야 간평균기온에서 2.56℃(SD=0.52℃)로 추정되었다. 토지피복변화의 영향과 기 후변동의 영향을 이용하여 도시화 기여도 분석한 결과, 청주시의 도시화 기여도는 일평균기온에서 4.6 %, 주간평균기온에서 4.0 %, 야간평균기온에서 6.3 %로 추정되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 청주시의 기온 상승은 주로 도시화로 인한 열 섬 효과와 기후변동의 복합적인 결과임을 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 주간보다 야간에 도시화의 영향이 더 크게 나타나 도시 열섬 현상이 강화되었음을 시 사한다. 본 연구는 청주시의 도시화와 기후변화에 대한 대응 전략 수립에 중요한 기초 자료를 제공하며, 지방도시의 지속 가능한 발전과 주민들의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 맞춤형 기후변화 적응 전략 개발에 기여할 것이다. 향후 다 양한 지방 도시를 대상으로 한 추가 연구를 통해 지역별 열환경 변화를 종합적으로 이해하고, 도시 계획 시 열환경을 고려한 인프라 구축 및 녹지 공간 확보 방안을 모색할 필요가 있다.
