      The purpose of this study was to review Yukdang Choi Nam-Sun``s recognition over 『Samgukyusa』 and 「Samgukyusa Interpretation」. He experienced the classic and western culture from the childhood. He had the knowledge and recognition about Dangun prior to the study aborad in Japan. After returning from Japan, he rediscovered 『Samgukyusa』 and restored Dangun and history. The national consciousness and cultural consciousness of Choi Nam-Sun was led to the description of 「Dangun Theory」and long 「Interpretation」about 『Samgukyusa』. 「Interpretation」 of Choi Nam-Sun was a main editorial to support his 「Dangun Theory」 and 『Buddhist Culture Theory』, After that, it became the ``standard`` and ``tradition`` of ``interpretation`` of 『Samgukyusa』. He tried to enlarge the baundary of Bulham Culture by restoring Dangun and history through the rediscovery of 『Samgukyusa』. Choi Nam-Sun``s selection of Dangun as the center of Korean history was very meaningful. On the contrary, his intention to enlarge Dangun as the center of the baundary of Bulham Culture was the basis to blur the focus on Dangun. Among many classics, he especially focused on 『Samgukyusa』. It was due to the national consciousness and cultural consciousness, the record about Dangun and the origin of mythology contained in the text. He reconsidered the national consciousness and cultural consciousness as the confronting consciousness and used the record about Dangun and the mythology of each country as the political strategy to fight against Japan. Choi Nam-Sun``s general description about the ancient history was the strategy against the cultural policy of Japan and the one to improve the national consciousness. However, he was shaken by the strategy and tactic. After all, as the conflict composition between modernism and national consciousness is biased to the antagonistic composition of imperialism, he became the pro-Japan collaborator and adhered to the position to justify the pro-Japan activity. Choi Nam-Sun``s aspiration for history recovery and cultural people was expressed through 『Samgukyusa』 and it was enlarged through various arguments of 「Dangun Theory」and 『Bulham Cultural Theory』. He tried to enlighten the cultural people through confronting consciousness and tried to go beyond the mythology through historical consciousness. The national consciousness of Choi Nam-Sun could be founded because of the discovery of 『Samgukyusa』, Dangun and Gaya. Because of the discovery, the long 「Interpretation」about his 『Samgukyusa』 became the standard for 「Interpretation」about 『Samgukyusa』. After that, the translator of 『Samgukyusa』 should pay attention to Yukdang``s 「Interpretation」about 『Samgukyusa』. Translator had the obsession thought to write long or better 「Interpretation」than Yukdang``s one and the attitude to assign it to Yukdang by citing the authority of 「Interpretation」. After all, the translator should prepare 「Interpretation」in the way that he shows the whole story of 『Samgukyusa』 at a glance. It was connected to the mutual effects among ``interpretations``. In 『Samgukyusa』, Choi Nam-Sun said, Only the book is responsible for the area before Joseon Dynasty and shows the origin and old form of Joseon``s life and culture. As he said, 『Samgukyusa』 was the treasure warehouse containing the gene of Korean people. Here, the factor of people``s homogeneity ranging from linguistic character to history, culture, philosophy, art and science is contained. Like that, Choi Nam-Sun recognized 『Samgukyusa』 as the milestone and guide to go to the recovery of people and history as well as the origin of national community and historical community. He arranged the key and characteristics of 『 Samgukyusa』 in 「Interpretation」well to establish the identity of Korean people and secure the recognition frame.
