펜데믹(pandemic) 환경에서 H대학교의 ‘발표와 토론’ 수업 사례 연구 = A study on class Case of ‘Presentation and Discussion’ class at University H in a pandemic environment

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적 본 연구의 목적은 펜데믹(pandemic) 상황에서 H대학생들의 ‘발표와 토론’의 수행 양상에 대한 분석을 바탕으로 그 의의와 개선방향을 얻고자 하는 데 있다. 방법 이를 위하여 본 연구는 H대학에서 2021학년도 2학기에 진행한 ‘발표와 토론’ 과목을 수강한 103명의 학생들을 대상으로 수업 시작 전⋅후의 설문조사, 수업의 전개 양상, 토론의 진행 양상과 학생들의 개인발표의 양상, 학생들의 과제 제출을 분석하였다. 그리고, 학생들이 평가한 수업 운영의 주⋅객관식 결과를 토대로 하여 교수⋅학습 활동의 의의와 개선방향을 살펴보았다. 결과 본 연구의 의의는 첫째, H대학 재학생들은 이 교과목을 통해서 말할 때의 부담감과 불안함을 현저하게 낮추는 효과를 거두었다. 둘째, 펜데믹(pandemic) 상황에서 본 교과목을 대면 및 비대면을 병행한 수업으로 설명하였으며, 이는 결과적으로 온⋅오프라인의 수업 상황을 전제한 수업사례의 연구 의의를 가진다. 셋째, 본 수업 사례의 과정과 결과는 대학의 교양 필수 과목으로 발표와 토론 교육의 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 생각하며, 향후 유사 교과목 운영에도 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 넷째, 대학생들이 미래에 직장인으로서 사회생활을 할 때, 효율적인 의사소통 역량을 강화하는 데에 도움이 될 수 있다고 생각한다. 다섯째, 대학의 교양과목에서 발표와 토론을 통한 화법 역량의 강화는 대학교육의 목표와도 상응하는 것이라고 생각한다. 즉, 비판적이고 논리적인 사고를 바탕으로 문제해결 역량과 의사소통 역량을 배양하고자 하는 대학교육의 여러 목표를 달성하는 데에 화법 역량은 대학교육의 목표를 실현하는 하나의 도구교과의 역할을 할 것으로 사료된다. 결론 본고는 H대학 ‘103명’의 재학생들을 대상으로 ‘발표와 토론’ 과목을 진행한 후, 네 가지 측면에서 개선방향을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Objectives The purpose of this study is to obtain its significance and direction for improvement based on the analysis of the performance patterns of H university students presentation and discussion in a pandemic situation. Methods For this purpose, this study conducted a survey of 103 students who took the ‘Presentation and Discussion’ course conducted in the second semester of the 2021 academic year at University H. The pattern of personal presentation of students and students assignments were analyzed. And, based on the multiple-choice results of class operation evaluated by students, the significance of teaching and learning activities and directions for improvement were examined. Results The significance of this study is first, that H university students had the effect of remarkably lowering the burden and anxiety when speaking through this course. Second, in a pandemic situation, this subject was explained as a class that combines face-to-face and non-face-to-face classes. Third, the process and results of this class case are essential liberal arts subjects in colleges and can be used as basic data for presentation and discussion education. Fourth, I think that it can help college students to strengthen their effective communication skills when they have a social life as office workers in the future. Fifth, I think that strengthening the communication skills through presentation and discussion in the liberal arts subjects of the university corresponds to the goal of university education. In other words, in achieving the various goals of university education to cultivate problem-solving and communication skills based on critical and logical thinking, speaking skills will play the role of a tool subject to realize the goals of university education. Conclusions After conducting the ‘presentation and discussion’ course for ‘103 students’ of H University, this paper suggested improvement directions in four aspects.
