생명정치의 논점에서 본 윤리 주체의 연대 가능성- 자기 배려 주체와 대항 윤리의 논의를 바탕으로 = The possibility of solidarity of ethical subjects from the perspective of biopolitics - Based on the discussion of self-care subjects and counter-ethics

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 푸코의 생명정치를 분석하여 변이적 정치의 기술에 대항할 방안을 윤리 주체의 연대로부터 찾고, 그 이유를 규명하려는 데 있다. 이러한 문제에 접근하고자 정치, 경제, 사회, 문화적 계보를 분석하는 푸코의 논의를 우선 파악한다. 생명정치의 변화는 자유의 확대와 인구의 증가, 경제적 발전 등의 다양한 사회적 변화에 영향 아래 있다. 그리고 이러한 사회 문화적인 변화들은 통치술의 변화를 야기한다. 이렇듯 변화하는 통치술을 파악하고자, ‘안전사회’, ‘위험사회’, ‘신민’, ‘시민’, ‘자연성’과 ‘자유’의 개념들이 등장하고 바뀌는 과정을 푸코의 논의를 통해 분석하고, 정치적 코드들의 변화와 함께 변이되는 생명정치의 문제들을 파악한다. 그로부터 시민의 자유 확대는 시민의 연대를 통해 가능하며, 이때 주요한 대항의 코드는 정치적 윤리 주체인 자기 배려 주체의 연대임을 보일 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyze Foucault’s concept of biopolitics in order to identify ways to resist the technologies of mutational politics through the solidarity of ethical subjects, and to elucidate the rationale for such resistance. To approach this issue, the study first examines Foucault’s analyses of political, economic, social, and cultural genealogies. The transformation of biopolitics is shaped by various social changes, such as the expansion of freedom, population growth, and economic development. These socio-cultural changes, in turn, bring about shifts in governmental rationalities. In order to grasp these shifting modes of governmentality, the study analyzes Foucault’s discussions of the emergence and transformation of key concepts such as the 'society of security,' the 'risk society,' 'subjecthood,' 'citizenship,' 'naturalness,' and 'freedom.' Through this analysis, it aims to identify how the mutations of biopolitics are entangled with changes in political codes. Ultimately, the study will argue that the expansion of citizens’ freedom becomes possible through civic solidarity, and that the central code of resistance lies in the solidarity of ethical subjects—those who engage in practices of care of the self as political-ethical agents.
