춘천 중도 호반관광지 개발의 환경영향 등 연구 = Research on the Environmental Impact of the Development of Chuncheon Jungdo Lakeside Tourism Area

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

It seems that more than two years have passed since I got to know Chuncheon Jungdo. The more I knew the Jungdo, the more angered things were. I can’t understand how to neglect our precious history. It shouldn’t be only viewed as a Jungdo problem. It is a matter of our history and of environment. It is an opportunity for mental elevation and an icon for overcoming a crisis.
People understand the word ‘sustainable development’ too easily. It is often used in the meaning of ‘which can be continuously developed.’ It is often misused. Thus we have to think about economic efficiency as well as environmental pollution and social balance from the beginning, in order to survive. But there are many cases where only economic feasibility is concerned. So, environmental pollution is getting worse.
In the Jungdo relationship, I participated in the 1st Jungdo Historical and Cultural Conservation Conference, so I think it is a truly meaningful theme, although it is difficult to take practical effort and academic challenge. There are many problems in the Jungdo. Among them, environmental issues are considered to be important issues along with historical issues. It seems to be the first attempt in terms of environmental impact assessment. If we solve it step by step, we will really become a world leader in all aspects sooner or later. With the academic conference as an opportunity, I hope that positive energy will gather in the Jungdo and the mental elevation will increase further, and many problems will be solved well.
