    In China, the incense began to be used from the Spring and Autumn Period with the aim of removing bad odor or bugs, adding good smells to clothing, and purifying air in the room.
    In Han Dynasty, Increased interest in fragrance and the use of incense vessels around the royal family, the incense vessels has also developed. The owner of Tomb No.1 is Liu Sheng, Prince Jing of the Kingdom of Zhongshan in the Western Han While Tomb No. 2 belongs to his spouse Dou Wan, eight incense vessels and spices have excavated there.
    In this paper, an analysis of the incense vessels of the tomb, which can be divided into 4 types based on their different shapes. Combining the artifacts discovered from archaeological excavations with historical literature, we find that incense was used in ceremonies, banquets and lifestyle during this period, particularly by the upper class.
