청소년의 스트레스와 자살생각의 완충효과 = The Relationship between Daily Life Stress and Suicidal Ideation of Adolescents : The Role of Ego-Resiliency as a Buffer

Given the 5 stressors of adolescents, this research not only examines which stressors have a greater impact on their suicidal ideation, but also focuses on whether or not ego-resiliency works as a buffer between stress and suicidal ideation on their part. Specifically, this research focuses on the investigation into ego-resiliency which arbitrates between those stressors and suicidal ideation. Based on responses from a total of 817 middle and high school students, the results are as follows: First, with respect to the subfactors of total daily stress, stress pertinent to one's own problems has the greatest influence on suicidal ideation, followed by stressors coupled with family relations, school life, environmental problems, and peer relations in order. Second, ego-resiliency proved to act as a buffer against suicidal ideation induced by stress. More specifically, ego-resiliency turned out to be a buffer between personal stress (school life, personal problems, and environmental problems) and suicidal ideation. Meanwhile, the construct at hand did not function as a buffer between interpersonal stress (problems associated with peer relations and problems with family members) and suicidal ideation.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 청소년들의 5가지 생활스트레스 원 중 어떤 것이 자살생각에 더 크게 영향을 미치는지 알아보고, 자아탄력성이 청소년들의 스트레스와 자살생각 간에 조절역할을 하고 있는지를 알아보고자 하였다. 구체적으로는 자아탄력성이 5가지 스트레스 원 중 어떤 스트레스와 자살생각간에 완충작용을 하는지 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해 경남지역의 중고 남녀 학생 총 817명을 대상으로 연구한 결과, 첫째 생활스트레스의 하위요인들 중 자기문제와 관련된 스트레스가 자살생각에 가장 크게 영향을 미치며, 다음으로 가족관계스트레스, 학교생활스트레스, 환경문제스트레스, 교우관계스트레스 순서이었다. 둘째, 자아탄력성이 스트레스로 인한 자살생각을 완화시켜주는 조절변인 역할을 하고 있었다. 구체적으로 자아탄력성은 개인적 스트레스(학교생활, 자신문제, 환경문제)와 자살생각 간의 관계를 완충시키는 역할을 하고 있는 반면, 대인적 스트레스(교우관계 문제, 가족구성원과의 문제)로 인한 자살생각간의 관계에서는 완충역할을 하지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
