텍스타일 디자인의 의미 해석 방법으로서 도상학 개념 고찰 = A study of Iconography as a way to interpret the meaning of Textile Design

Background The process of recognizing the intrinsic meaning by finding the intentions and thematic consciousness included in the textile design pattern is to understand the morphological beauty and discover a series of communication processes about the relationship between the world and the world created by the designer. Therefore, this study began with the premise that a culture established as a result of human-human interaction exists and the symbolic system within it can be expressed as an image. To this end, this study focused on the internal method of expressing the mental among the visual ways of looking at the object in order to reproduce the viewpoint for interpreting the meaning of the subject. And in order to understand the meaning of patterns in textile design, I tried to propose a methodology that interprets formal ideas and changes in form and recognizes the subject and interprets them.
Methods Through literature review, the meaning analysis system of textual design as a means of communication is formed into a systematic structure.
Result To this end, we explored themes and methods of interpreting the themes based on Erwin Panofsky's Iconography theory, recognizing that the influence of historical facts and cultural rules or customs of the era influences the inherent intrinsic meaning. Also, in order to understand how it affects the formation of motifs, we examined the interpretation methods of Panofsky theory, and found the direction to graft them into the interpretation method of textile design by finding the relationship between them and textile design.
Conclusion Through this research process, a methodology for the thematic expression and meaning interpretation of textile design was established.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

연구배경 텍스타일 디자인 패턴에 포함 된 의도와 주제 의식을 찾아 내재적 의미를 인식하는 과정은 형태학적 아름다움을 이해하고 디자이너가 만든 세계와 인간의 관계에 대한 일련의 의사 소통 과정을 발견하는 것이다. 따라서 본 연구는 인간과 인간의 상호 작용의 결과로 확립 된 문화가 존재하고 그 안의 상징 체계가 이미지로 표현 될 수 있다는 전제로 시작되었다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 주제 의미 해석을 위한 관점을 재현하기 위해 대상을 바라보는 시각적 방식 중 정신적인 것을 표현하는 내적 방법에 초점을 맞추었다. 그리고 텍스타일 디자인에서 패턴의 의미를 이해하기 위해 형식적인 아이디어와 형태의 변화를 해석하고, 주제를 인지하여 이를 해석하는 방법론을 제안하고자 하였다.
연구방법 문헌 고찰을 중심으로 커뮤니케이션의 한 수단으로서의 텍스타일 디자인의 의미 해석 체계를 체계적인 구조로 형성하고자 한다.
연구결과 역사적 사실과 문화적 규칙 또는 시대의 관습의 영향이 내제되어 있는 본질적인 의미에 영향을 미친다는 것을 인지하는 에르빈 파노프스키의 도상학 이론을 기반으로 주제와 주제 해석 방법을 탐구하였다. 또한 그것이 모티브 형성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 이해하기 위해 파노프스키 이론의 해석 방법에 대해 검토하고 그것들과 직물 디자인 사이의 관계를 찾아 텍스타일 디자인의 해석 방법으로 접목시킬 방향을 찾았다.
결론 이 연구 과정을 통해 텍스타일 디자인의 주제 표현 및 의미 해석에 대한 하나의 방법론을 확립하였다.
