말하기에 드러난 ‘쉼(pause)’ 인식 양상 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper is an action research about pause as a paralanguage expression. It is assumed two kinds of speaking purpose or discourse pattern. And a certain level of learners showed pauses that could be revealed in the entire process of speaking. For this purpose, two hypotheses were constructed, and based on this holistic pause aspects of announcement were discussed.
The first of hypothesis was discussed between planned and actual speaking. The results seemed to be much difference in the frequency of occurrence, types, and the location. The second of hypothesis was argued on the frequency difference between intended pause and unintended pause. The results turned out that unintended pause was occurred much more than intended pause.
The difference between planned and actual speaking as the property for pause, it is suggested that pause may be affected sensitive to under the actual speaking of the context and the situation. In addition, Uncontrolled pauses are found to be significantly more than the in actual speaking. This tells us that the lack of regulation and control capabilities for the speaker in terms of the meta cognitive aspects was showed in the process of speaking.
