The purpose of this studyis to investigate ecpenditure for servicers relatedto the household work and to compare it between Korean and American families.
The results are as follows:
1) A korean family spends greater quantity and expenditure of services than an American family does.
2) The ANOVA showes that the difference in the family and the expenditure with socio-demographic variables are greater for Korean families, than American families.
3) For a korean faimly, independednt factors in purchase of the services are Life cycle, level of education, income, net-income, and number of appliances. it is explicalble thath 77.2% of the purchase comes from them. For an American family, the factors are family size, income, expenditure. 24.0% of the purchase could be explained by them.
