김기림의 예언자적 인식과 침묵의 修辭 = Kim Ki-rim before and after Liberation and his Rhetoric of ‘Silence’

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Two papers on Kim Ki-rim were printed abreast in The Korean Poetics Studies Vol, 13. The two writers showed the opposite opinion each other about Kim Ki-rim. One took Kim as a post-colonialism writer who should be revaluated. The other took him as a depressed modernist with a suspicion of pro-Japanese.
I think we have to pay attention to things that have been passed over. We should devide Kim's lifetime into several periods and examine his all texts. This paper pays attention to the time from the end of Japanese imperialism to so-called ‘the Space of Liberation’.
During this period Kim showed the rhetoric of 'silence' in his texts. This means his attitude of 'voyant' and the prospect of poetry. So he could overcome the dark time after the end of Japanese imperialism. Through this viewpoint we can understand Kim's activities as a leftist in the Space of Liberation.
In that time, he changed his attitude as a leftist. Then the group of avangard poets criticized him. They were afraid of the change of Kim's attitude. Kim had the power of influence on the Korean poetry world. They could not help being worry about the withering of leftist literature activity.
Finally, the origin of Kim's change was 'the intelligence'.
