수업에 대한 유아교사의 이야기 : 좋은 수업을 찾아서 = Interviews with early childhood teachers' on the meaning of good teaching

국문 초록 (Abstract)

유아교사에게 수업이란 어떠한 의미인지 대해 알아보기 위해 현재 학급을 담당하고 있는 유아교사를 대상으로 수업의 의미, 좋은 수업의 의미, 좋은 수업의 조건에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 대상은 5명의 유아교사로, 연구의 목적을 달성하기 위하여 심층면접을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 유아교사는 수업에 대해 "자신과 유아와의 만남을 위한 통로", "교사의 삶"과 "객관적인 평가를 위한 매개"라고 인식하고 있었다. 또한 교사는 좋은 수업은 유아가 재미를 느끼고, 유아가 직접 경험을 함으로써 교사와 유아 모두가 만족하는 것이 좋은 수업이라고 인식하고 있었다. 그리고 좋은 수업의 조건으로는 교사의 전문성 향상을 위한 지속적인 노력과 수업의 허용적인 분위기와 참여와 소통을 통한 열린 수업 그리고 교수매체의 적절한 선택과 활용, 지역사회와 가정의 행 재정적인 지원 등을 통한 협력으로 인식하고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to identify what teaching means to the early childhood teacher. To this end, 5 early childhood teachers were interviewed in depth on the meaning of teaching, the meaning of good teaching, and the conditions requisite for good teaching. The interviews reveal that the teachers viewed teaching as "a channel for the meeting between a teacher and children", "the life of teachers" and "the parameter for an objective evaluation". Good teaching, they said, exists when children are interested, when teachers provide meaningful learning experiences, and when both teachers and children are satisfied with the children's direct experiences. The teachers cited the conditions for good teaching as being embodied in the quality of teachers' professional knowledge and beliefs and revealed in their use of exemplary words and deeds, physical environments and instructional materials. Good teaching could also be discerned in the quality of interactions between teachers and children, especially those based on the teachers' appropriate questioning. The teachers also noted strong administrative and financial support from local communities and the children's families as requisite conditions for good teaching.
