On the liver damage induced carbon tetrachloride, mitosis was suppressed, and those physiological functions were elevated by dexamethasone from rat. The number of mitotic cells was decreased remarkbly. Values of prothrombin time, total bilirubin, and GPT activity were decreased all, each 61.1%, 20.5%, and 58.9% in plasma of dexamethasone injected rat.
