      1. The Purpose
      The aims of this study are
      1) to examine children's color preferences and color prejudices in our elementary school.
      2) to offer some suggestions to innovate teaching methods in fine arts education.
      2. The Procedure
      I made use of the stratified sampling methods in this study and sent the following questionaires to 2,059 children.
      1) Which color do you like best, red, yellow, or blue?
      2) Which do you like best, the primary color, the secondary color, or the tertiary color?
      3) Which do you like best, the high depth of color, the middle depth of color, or the low depth of color?
      4) Which do you like best, the high chromatic color, the middle chromatic color, or the low chromatic color?
      5) Which do you like best, the agnate color, the analogous color, or the complementary color?
      6) In the achromatic color, which color do you like best, white, grey, or black?
      7) Which color do you like better, the cool color or the warm color?
      8) Which color do you like better, the chromatic color or the achromatic color?
      3. Conclusion
      1) Children like yellow color best and dislike red color.
      2) Children like the primary color best and also they like the secondary and tertiary color the same level.
      3) Children like the middle depth of color but contrally they have prejudices in the low depth of color.
      4) Children like middle chromatic color but dislike low chromatic color.
      5) Children like complementary color best, but dislike agnate color.
      6) Children, generally, like white color and who they like black and grey color the same level, especially boys like grey color, but girls like white and rural children like black but urban children like white
      7) Generally, children like warm color and dislike cold color. Especially boys do not differentiate cold color from warmone, but girls like warm color
      8) Children like cromatic color and dislike achromatic color.
