생 빅토르의 리카르두스의『격렬한 사랑의 네 단계』연구 = A Study on De quatuor gradibus violentae charitatis by Richard of St. Victor

국문 초록 (Abstract)

가톨릭 영성 전통 안에는 다양한 영적 여정의 길잡이들이 있다. 많은 작품들은 서로 영향을 주고받고 있다. 그것은 작품을 서로 접하였기 때문일 수도 있고, 인간의 내면에 대한 성찰에서 오는 공통된 체험 때문일 수도 있다.
그 가운데 아직 우리에게는 잘 알려지지 않은 성 빅토르의 리카르두스가 쓴『격렬한 사랑의 네 단계』도 있다. 이 작품은 아가서 전통의 신비주의에 영향을 많이 받았으며, 후대에도 많은 영향을 끼쳤다.
리카르두스는 이 작품들을 통해 말씀과 영혼의 만남이 어떤 여정을 걷게 되는지를 설명해주고 있다. 묵상 – 관상 – 환희 - 연민으로 요약되는 이 네 단계는 영성적이고 내면적인 삶을 살고자 하는 이들에게 자신이 지금 체험하고 있는 바가 어떤 것인지, 자신이 지금 어디쯤에 있는지를 알 수 있게 도와주며, 영성지도를 위한 좋은 로드맵이 되어 주었다.
영성생활을 갈망하는 이들이 많은 이 시대에『격렬한 사랑의 네 단계』는 더욱 깊은 내적인 삶으로 사람들을 인도해 줄 좋은 길잡이가 될 것이다.

Within the tradition of Christian Spirituality, there are various guides on spiritual journeys. Many works are influenced by each other. This may be caused by contact or common experience that comes from reflection on the inner life toward God.
Among them, De quatuor gradibus violentae charitatis written by Ricardus of Saint Victor also occupies a place. Through his works, he explains the journey of the encounter between the Word and the soul. The four steps, which are summarized as meditation – contemplation – jubilation - compassion, have much in common with previous Catholic spiritual traditions and influenced later generations. It also has provided a road map to spiritual direction.
I hope that this paper will help those who want to have more understanding about spiritual growing process.
