The purpose of this paper is to study how word meaning changes in respect to Conceptology. Meaning, a symbolized concept, is one part of knowledge, in which concepts imply ideas. Since a concept has infinite extensions and intensions, it is made by an abstraction from many different objects which have a common property, but a concept omits a specific property so that its boundaries are vague, unclear, and also overlapping with other concepts as well as that of meaning, When meaning extends or contracts, a new meaning is produced from the existing meaning. In that case the new meaning is termed a derivational meaning, and the existing meaning is called the original meaning. When there is no common property shared between the origianal and derivational meanings, the meaning of the word changes. Word meaning extention of word meaning is the phenomenon which generalizes the meaning, and word meaning contraction is the phenomenon which classifies and specifies the meaning.
