玉照神應眞經註에 대한 硏究 = (The) Study of＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNGJU＞

국문 초록 (Abstract)

미래 예측을 위해 형성 발전되어 온 여러 가지 학설 중에서도 사주학은 중국과 한국에서 가장 널리 사용되고 있는 학술이라고 할 수 있다. 한국과 중국에서 사주학은 예측학의 중심에 위치해 있고, 민중들에게 가장 친숙하게 받아들여지고 있다. 사주학은 삼명학과 자평학으로 구별되는데, 현재 사용하고 있는 사주학은 자평학을 가리키는 것이고, 삼명학은 천 년 전에 이미 소멸되어 흔적을 찾기 어렵고 사주를 볼 때도 삼명학을 사용하는 사람은 전무한 실정이다. 그러므로 사주학을 연구한다는 것은 자평학을 연구한다는 의미로 보아도 무리가 없다. 그렇다면 과연 자평학을 누가 최초로 창안했으며, 어떤 내용을 지니고 있는지를 연구하는 것이 필요할 것이다. 본 논문에서는 자평학 이론이 곽박의 저서 ＜옥조신응진경＞에서 최초로 등장했으며, 서자평이 그것에 주석을 달아 ＜옥조신응진경주＞를 지음으로써 확실하게 정립되었음을 설명하고자 한다. 그것을 위해서 ＜옥조신응진경주＞의 전문을 국내 최초로 번역하고, 분석하면서, 그 학설의 효용성을 고찰하는 것이 본 논문의 연구 목적이다.
＜옥조신응진경주＞는 자평학의 이론의 모태가 되는 것이고, 후대의 자평학 내용은 그것에서 크게 벗어나지 못했다. 일주의 강약을 가려서 신강 신약을 분별하는 이치는 훗날 억부의 원리를 가지고 용신을 정하는 토대가 되었고, 오행의 태과와 불급은 좋지 않고 균형을 이루어야 한다는 이론은 훗날의 중화의 이론을 발전시키는 토대가 되었다. 뿐만 아니라 천간과 지지의 조합에 의해서 천변만화하는 인생의 삶을 판단할 수 있는 여러 가지 이론이 들어있다. 부귀빈천을 판단할 수 있는 원리, 직업을 판단할 수 있는 원리, 길흡화복을 판단할 수 있는 원리, 질병을 판단할 수 있는 원리, 요수를 판단할 수 있는 원리, 품성을 판단할 수 있는 원리, 가족관계를 판단할 수 있는 원리, 사주의 등급을 알 수 있는 원리 등이 모두 망라되어 있다.
유구한 역사를 거치면서 발전되어 온 자평학의 이론이 최초로 세상에 등장한 것이 곽박의 ＜옥조신응진경＞이고, 그것을 최초로 주석한 것이 ＜옥조신응진경주＞이다. 본 논문에서는 ＜옥조신응진경주＞의 내용을 완전하게 번역하면서 각각의 주제에 맞게 항목을 나누어 분석하였다. 분석 결과 ＜옥조신응진경주＞는 인생의 제반 사항을 판단할 수 있는 완벽에 가까운 이론체계를 구비하고 있다는 것을 확인할 수 있었고, 실제 적용의 문제에 있어서도 사주학의 이론 중에서 가장 다양한 측면에서 인생을 조망하면서 판단할 수 있는 정확한 이론체계를 가지고 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The Science of Saju is the most widely being used theory in China and Korea among various kinds of theories that have been developing in order to make a prediction about coming affairs.
In China and Korea the Science of Saju has taken the lead among the prediction theories, and has been accepting with familiarity by the people for a long time.
The Science of Saju is divided into two theories, Sammyung Theory and Zapyung Theory, according to Seo Zapyung's doctrine. Sammyung Theory was an extinct theory about a thousand years ago. Now, in fact, few people apply
Sammyung Theory to read the lives of people from their Birth Year, Month, Day, and Hour. Thus, it's reasonable to suppose that studying on the Science of Saju equals studying on Zapyung Theory. And also it's natural that the present Saju Science means Zapyung Theory.
Then, at this point of time, I think, it's necessary to research who originated Zapyung Theory in the beginning, what contents the theory included. So this paper was intended to clarify that Zapyung Theory appeared first in a book, ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNG＞ written by Kwak Pak, and that took in a right position firmly after Seo Zapyung wrote a book, ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNGJU＞ by annotating on Kwak Pak's ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNG＞
In order to clarify such things, this paper aims at translating the full text of Seo Zapyung's ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNGJU＞ into Korean and contemplating the effectiveness of Zapyung Theory with analytic thinking.
Seo Zapyung's ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNGJU＞ has been the base of Zapyung Theory. Since the book appeared, the subjects of Zapyung Theory of the next times have never been separated from the contents of Seo Zapyung's book.
One fundamental, set the standard of Day Master's powers by distinguishing between strong and weak in one's Heavenly Stem of Birth Day, has been based on choosing useful elements (or useful gods) according to a principle of 'control and support'.
The other fundamental that one's Saju Chart must be balanced without excessiveness or deficiency of a certain element in five elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal and Water) to live a harmonious and productive life, has been based on developing a principle of neutralization in later days.
In addition to these fundamentals, there were some various fundamentals that can read ever-changing lives of people according to interactions of Heavenly Stems and Earthly Branches in their Saju Charts in Seo Zapyung's ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNGJU＞.
Furthermore, Seo Zapyung's ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNGJU＞ included several principles. Making use of those principles, we can discriminate between 'wealth and honor' and 'poor and humble', infer one's vocational aptitude, prognosticate 'ups and downs' of one's life, tell one's fortune, and analyze one's health, disease, life expectancy, personality, family relationship,etc... Finally we can come to understand the distinction of one's Saju chart from that of other's Saju chart.
The main points described so far may be summarized as follows. It was on Kwak Pak's book ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNG＞ that Zapyung Theory appeared first. It was the book that Seo Zapyung annotated as an annotator on＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNG＞ written by Kwak Pak.
Translating ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNGJU＞ into Korean entirely enabled to classify some topics and analyze them in detail. As a result, it became obvious that Seo Zapyung's ＜OKJOSINEUNGJINKYUNGJU＞ had a perfect theoretical system that enables to reason various matters in one's course of life, and had a practical theoretical system that enables to read one's life very accurately.
