    The subject was a total of 83 patients, anisometropia 45 patients (90 eyes) and isometropia 38 patients (76 eyes), prescribed eyeglasses and contact lenses by refraction from July 2010 to August 2010 in K City B eye clinical. The relationship between anisometropia and refractory Components were studied through measured corneal power, axial length, anterior chamber depth in anisometropia and isometropia. Contribution to distinguish between the two groups grasped the larger refractive components.
    IOL Master (Carl Zeiss Meditec, v.5.2.1, Germany) using the measured axial length and anterior chamber depth, and Auto-refractometer (Topcon KR-8800P, Japan) using the refractive error, corneal curvature, corneal refractive power were measured. Anisometropia defined as difference of refractive error more than 1.0D in both eyes and using multivariate discriminant analysis, analysis of the determinants was confirmed by the following results.


    The good discriminant variables was Axial length(standardized canonical discriminant function Coefficients=0.549, p<.001) and AL/CR(axial length/corneal radius)ratio (standardized canonical discriminant function Coefficients=0.460, p<.001) to distinguish anisome tropia and isometropia to determine in a discriminant analysis using the all variables as independent variable. other factors not equal to the anisometropia and isometropia did not contribute to prediction. The hit ratio of 83 to 70 subject was 84.3%. Therefore, Axial length and AL/CR ratio, anisometropia and isometropia were effective for classifying.
    The major determinant of anisometropia was the axial length, and other refractive components was weak correlation. As a result of, refractive error and anisometropia was the most axial ametropia caused by the axial length. Therefore, the optical prescription of anisometropia was good considered prescription glasses of axial ametropia was more advantageous than refractive ametropia. When prescribing glasses, it was considered very important to lens posited accurately in the anterior focal plane of the eye(Knapp's rule).
