음악학습에 있어 음악성의 의미에 관한 고찰 = A Study on the Meaning of Musicality in Music Learning

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Musicality means the musical ability in general which covers the ability to discern all kinds of musical phenomena, the music performing ability, and musical insight. Music performing ability and musical insight can be completed only on the basis of both the ability to discern musical phenomena accurately and rich imagination.
The discerning ability, imagination, and musical insight can be developed through the performance of music. Therfore, the accurate discernment, rich imagination, and outstanding performance of music are impossible to achieve without deepening the musical insight.
We may say that the hopeful development in music study refers to the state in which musical ability and musical disposition grow comprehensively and proportionately. Music teaching at elementary school aims the development of children's musicality.
Ability and disposition regarding music are expressed in various terms, and scholars define them from different points of view. Scholars, in order to avoid the confusion of the term, are in favor of 'musical ability' or 'musical talent' instead of musicality.
Also the term 'ability' or 'talent' implies the two aspects of musical capacity and the degree of achievement, sowe need to distinguish the potential capacity to learn from the capacity already achieved through music study.
Music teaching starts from the belief that comes from the contact of general human ability to the special form of situation, that is, music : It also starts from the idea that musical disposition is man's general mental disposition.
