세계선교 현황과 한국교회의 선교를 위한 전략적 제안 = Status of World Mission and Strategical Proposal for Korean Church`s Mission

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Korea has received the gospel around 130 years ago and became the second missionary sending force in the world. Even though its short history, Korean church performed a pivotal role in the world evangelization. However, Korean church now should consider what should do more and what need to prepare to fulfill the kingdom work. This is not easy task but an urgent one for the expansion of the Kingdom. Therefore, the writer attempts to examine changes in the mission fields where Korean missionaries are working, and remaining tasks what Korean church need to overcome. Then, the paper will give strategic suggestions for Korean church`s mission. World is rapidly changing. Change and speed are key words for churches and missionaries who want preach the gospel to the world. Therefore, they need to response to these rapid changes and develop mission strategies which are suitable to mission fields. Mission is a ministry to deliver the word of God enduring forever to the rapidly changing world. “In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways”(Heb. 1:1). Like this, we also preach the gospel in various ways and people in the mission field. In addition, the strategy must be fit to the field and be applicable to missionaries. For the purpose, the writer present some issues of the world which affect to our mission. Those are missionary movement in two-third worlds, globalization and localization, revival of nationalism and religious persecution, postmodernism and pluralism, diaspora, dispute and war, and economical crisis and HIV/AIDS. In addition, this paper presents some issues that Korean churches confront with, such as lack of effective mission strategies which are appropriate to the mission field and missionary, need for strategic mission mobilization and missionary training, preparation for balanced member care system and biblical exit strategy, urgent need for cooperation and network. Finally, this paper suggests some strategies for Korean churches. because they must perform a pivotal role again for world evangelization. First, Korean church must be recover church`s direction and God’s purpose. Second, Korean church tries find out various missions strategy for thw 21st century world mission. Third, Koran church must prepare well-organized missionary supporting system and biblical member case system. Finally, Koran church should focus on with mission through network and cooperation. The writer believes that there are more issues Korean church must consider and recover. However, the main problem of Korean church is not the lack of eagerness but the lost of direction and God`s intent. They are working without God and His word. Throughout the paper, the writer assures that Koran church must go back to the God`s word and purpose again.
