소련기행과 두 개의 유토피아 : 해방기 “새조선”의 이상과 북한의 미래 = Utopias and Travelogues of the Soviet Union : The dream of ``New Chosun`` in the liberation period and the future of North Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This article focuses on travelogues of the Soviet Union written by North Korean litterateurs, who sought for planning a new world as the spirit of the times, to discuss the meaning of nation－state in post colonial context. Travelogues of the Soviet Union in the liberation period are significant texts for reflecting the perception and imagination on post colonial nation－state. Furthermore travelogues contribute productive perspectives for explorating political / cultural origins of North Korea. This article contains two main topics as follows. First, the meaning of travelogues is important for understanding the process of political / cultural national planning in the liberation period, especially by paying attention to the change of North Korea in 1946. Second, it is inevitable to compare travelogues of North Korean litterateurs with travelogues written by other intellectuals for understanding the epistemological idea of litterateurs who planned travelogues of the Soviet Union. Travelogues of the Soviet Union reveals the meaning of political imagination of Korean litterateurs for New Chosun. Especially, those texts reveal how North Korean intellectuals utilized political vision imported from the Soviet Union to construct a socialist state and compete with South Korea. Travelogues have significance for providing symptomatic instances that how North Korean Society would mummify the utopian dreams which were invented through imitating the Soviet Union.
