In hypertubulent business environment, every organization, should maintain its flexibility and core competence in order to continuously survive and grow. In recent years, many firms have been showing their interests in team-based organizational system. Although the empowered team has attracted many scholars and practitioners, the empirical researches of team effectiveness have not been accumulated due to the lack of a comprehensive conceptual framework.
This paper proposes a conceptual model and some propositions which help further understanding of how team and organizational characteristics affect the team effectiveness by introducing the concepts of individual and team empowerment. And theoretical and practical contributions of the model are discussed.
