This article reveals through <Spirited Away> that mythology is being reenacted as cultural content. Chihiro (Sen), the protagonist of Spirited Away, receives a calling to return to her original world by finding her parents and restoring them to human forms. Chihiro (Sen), who went on a heroic adventure, does not ignore the difficulties of those she meets during his journey, and actively helps them, which ultimately leads to the completion of her calling. The structure of a hero who receives a calling, meets a helper, overcomes an ordeal, completes her/his calling, returns, and devotes himself/herself to the community is a typical hero adventure pattern in mythology. Joseph Campbell said that mythology shows the way back to one's inner self, and in order to go back to one's inner self, one must go through a rite of passage. That is why the hero's journey in mythology is similar to a coming-of-age ceremony. Every human being must go through a rite of passage. This is because if you do not go through the rite of passage properly, you are at risk of losing your existence. <Spirited Away>, which deals with archetypal adventures, shows that what Chihiro goes through can happen to anyone, and that unless you go through the same process that Chihiro goes through, you cannot grow up and live your own life. In this way, mythology continues to teach us the structure of life in various ways by borrowing the form of today's cultural content and the way to return to ourselves.
