이탈리아어 모어 화자를 위한 한국어 발음교육 방안 = A Teaching Method of Korean Pronunciation for Italian Native Speakers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Teaching Korean pronunciation in other countries often begins with foreign learners" understanding of the sound system of their mother tongue. That is, phonemic awareness can be an important tool to teach Korean pronunciation for foreigners. By using this phonemic knowledge, this study attempts to present a better method for teaching Korean pronunciation to Italian native speakers at college who major in Korean Studies. To teach Korean pronunciation more effectively, teachers must pay attention to phonemic differences between Korean and Italian sound system. More specifically, this paper focuses on 5 Korean vowels (i.e. ㅡ, ㅓ, ㅕ, ㅝ, ㅢ), which do not exist in Italian, and suggests how to teach their pronunciation to Italian students without any phonemic interference. Also, this paper tries to show how effectively we can teach the pronunciation of some consonantal triplets discovered in Korean sound system only. These consonantal triplets include plosives, affricates and aspirated phonemes. The phonemic approach to teaching Korean pronunciation can provide Korean teachers in foreign countries with a better teaching method.
