칸트의 선험적 반성론과 철학상담 = Kant`s Transcendental Reflection and Philosophical Counseling

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 칸트의 선험적 반성론이 상담에 적용될 수 있는지를 고찰하기 위한 것이다. 선험적 반성론이 상담과 연관될 수 있다면 그것은 논리적 반성과 다른 것이기 때문일 것이다. 논리적 반성은 경험적 현상과 무관하게 무모순적이고 필연적인 사고를 할 수 있다고 본다. 그것은 어떤 특수한 경험적 대상들과 구별되어 있기 때문이다. 그러나 선험적 반성은 경험적 대상들과 연관되어 있다. 선험적 반성은 경험적 대상에 대한 판단을 요청한다.
일상의 삶에 있어서 우리의 사고 과정은 우연한 법칙에 의해서 인식이 산출될 수도 있다. 그리고 우리의 사고에서 필연적인 논리규칙이 언제나 따라 나오는 것은 아니다. 이러한 논의는 칸트의 선험철학을 `경험적인 관점에서 해석한 키쳐의 선험심리학에서도 발견된다. 키쳐는 우리의 사고가 논리적 필연성의 법칙에 따라 이루어지는 것은 아니라고 말한다. 우리는 일상의 삶에서 그런 법칙을 언제나 생각해야 하는 것은 아니다. 경험적이고 일상적인 삶에서 논리적 필연성의 사고를 `지양`(止揚)하고 있다는 관점에서 칸트의 선험적 반성론과 키쳐의 선험심리학은 공통점을 지닌다고 볼 수 있다.
이제 이런 관점은 현대 상담의 한 조류인 인지치료에 적용될 수 있다. 인지치료의 관점에 따르면 우리가 사고의 형식인 범주를 어떻게 사용하느냐에 따라 정신건강에 도움이 될 수도 있고, 그렇지 않을 수도 있다. 예를 들어 어떤 현상이나 사태에 대해 필연성을 주장하는 판단은 내담자들에게 심리적 문제를 일으킬 수도 있다. 따라서 그런 사고를 갖는 내담자들로 하여금 정언적 판단이나 선언적 판단을 하게 함으로써 그런 심리적 문제에서 벗어나게 할 수 있다. 또한 내담자로 하여금 인지적 왜곡을 일으켜 감정적인 병을 일으키는 범주적 오류에서 벗어나게 하는 것도 가능하다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This essay is an attempt to apply Kant`s transcendental reflection theory to counseling. Transcendental reflection is different from logical reflection. It is important that transcendental reflection be linked to counseling. Logical reflection is thought to be unrelated to empirical phenomena and can lead to inevitable accidents. However, transcendental reflection is related to empirical objects. Transcendental reflection is a request for a priori judgement on empirical objects.
However, in everyday life, our thinking processes may be calculated by accident and logic does not always follow our thinking. Such discussions are also found in Kitcher`s transcendental psychology, which interpreted Kant`s transcendental philosophy. Kitcher says our thinking is not based on the principle of logical necessity. We don`t always have to think about such a law in everyday life. In view of the notion that logical necessity is being denied (`jiyang`) Kant`s view of transcendental philosophy and Kitcher`s view of transcendental psychology share the common basis.
Now this view can be applied to cognitive therapy, a type of modern counseling. According to the perspective of the cognitive treatment, it may be helpful to mental health, depending on how we use the form of thought, or not. For instance, a judgement on the inevitability of a phenomenon or state of affairs could cause psychological problems for patients. Thus, patients who have such accidents can feel detached from such psychological judgments or declarations, thereby distancing themselves from such psychological matters. It is also necessary to induce patients to create cognitive distortion and get rid of them from categorical failures that cause emotional diseases.
