From this paper, based on the Idealized Cognitive Model (ICM) of the Cognitive Semantics, it is shown that the case particles not only manifest the case of the preceding noun, but also they carry their own meaning. I also claim that not all the case particles have the same degree in expressing the case. Some prototype case particle have a relatively strong function of expressing the case, while non-prototype particles have a relatively weak and subsidiary function. I also discuss the prototype of the case particle in idioms and fixed expressions. In idioms and proverbs, nouns and verbs form a very close relation deriving some kind of metaphor. For this reason, we can observe that many particles are nor realized between the nouns and verbs not to block such a close relationship of the words. However, we also see that prototype particles such as subjective and objective prototype particles are not realized in most cases, whereas adverbial particles, which are subsidiary in expressing the case, are manifested in those expressions.
