    In this paper, the mechanism of foaming process with the biodegradable polymer and their properties were studied. Poly (lactic acid)(Abbreviation : PLA) and poly (butylene succinate)(Abbreviation : PBS) were used as expandable polymers along the molecular weight.
    First, rheological properties of the biodegradable polymers were investigated, such as melt strength, G', G'', and *.
    Sample 1 of PBS has the best properties for expansion.
    The expanding experiments were executed on the fixed temperature and pressure. The physical blowing agent, CO2 was well dissolved to polymer from 800 psi to 1800psi, especially PLA has a good expandable phenomena at 1800psi and 140℃. The temperature was controlled from Tm-5℃ to Tm-60℃ for expanding process. The higher pressure, and the higher temperature under the melting temperature we get the better properties of expanded polymer. We get one of the best conditions to form expanded PBS one. The pressure of 1200psi, the physical blowing agent immersing time of 12hour and the temperature of 105℃.
    From the result of morphology, cell structure of sample 1 had a relatively stable cell structure and cell size. It was due to its predominant rheological property.
