수산발효식품(젓갈류)의 발전방안에 관한 연구 -영광군 도서 및 설도를 중심으로- = A Study on the Development Methods for the Industry of Fermented Pickled Fish. -Centered on the Islands and Suldo in Youngkwanggun-

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A variety of supports such as political assistance from the central government or the local autonomous governments selecting new growth drive industries have been granted to the fermented pickled fish industry. However, regardless of such supports, the economy of scale has been materialized rather sluggishly, and the pickled fish industry’s production efficiency and growth has levelled off. Such results indicate that former supports were inefficient. Also, although the development of agricultural and fishing villages has been encouraged in order to narrow the income gap between agricultural and fishing communities, such attempts(a comprehensive development method including improvement of amenities for both communities in economic terms) turned to be inefficient. Thus, this study is designed to put forth some ideas on how to apply those attempts efficiently. In line with the purpose of this study, some literature researches and on-site inspections on where the pickled fish industry stands and how the central and local government``s support programs have been unfolded were conducted. As a result, the following conclusions have been drawn. The pickled fish industry should be nurtured as an indigenous industry; a comprehensive development utilizing the agricultural and fishing community amenity program and geo-tourism combined with green tourism should be implemented. Also, an introduction of combined IT·BT·NT technologies and manpower training is bound and have an effective impact on the industry. In particular, manpower training is the very cornerstone of the pickled fish industry. Thus, a manpower training system that nurtures skilled workers in the local governments`` industrial clusters should be put to place.
