공연을 위한 배우의 생리적 정서 접근법 적용 연구 -《독살미녀 윤정빈》을 중심으로- = A Study on Physiological Approach to Actor`s Emotion during Performance -A Case Study of (Killer Beauty Yoon Jung-bin)

This study is carried out on the efficacy of a physiological approach to actor`s emotions during performance. Since emotions depend on complex elements, there are a number of the antinomy of psychological studies on them A typical antinomy is ``an emotion is expressed by an action and the emotion follows the action.`` There are clear evidences of these two parts, and it is impossible to hastily judge which is right. Because of the research subject with a reasonable contradiction, this study presented tentatively and relatively reasonable research results. Most psychologists with physiological perspectives accept that emotions change depending on recognition of and an attitude towards a situation. In addition, cognitive psychologists do not overlook the fact that son emotional responses occur unconsciously. Thus, this researcher judged that a physiological approach to emotions should be studied with a cognitive approach and a behavioral approach and carried out an integrated theoretical study on emotions in parallel. The main topic of the long debate starting from Denis Diderot`s 『The paradox of acting』 is whether to act ``outside-in`` or ``inside-out.`` This researcher agrees with Germany-born neurophysiologist Susana Bloch`s perspective, who connected breaths, postures and expressions with individual emotions: in other words, aiming at the outside-in methodology. Bloch uses ``alba emoting`` she developed in order to induce actors` emotions. She induces breaths, postures and facial expressions toward certain emotions and actually amuses the emotions, and when the actors enter into such emotional states, she induces them back into a peaceful state of mind through ‘step out technique’ If an actor can control the peaceful state of mind and excited state quite freely as Bloch`s intent, then he or she will be able to prevent ‘emotional hangover’ occurring by using his or her emotions in advance. Despite this expected effect, physiological approaches to emotions are relatively ignored by the Korea`s theatrical world. Thus, this researcher examined actors` approaches to emotions based on the results of psychological studies, and by applying a physiological approach to emotions to Chunwon Gwang-su Lee`s role in 《Killer Beauty Yoon Jung-bin》, proved the fact that the physiological approach to emotions can be used in an actual performance.
