중국 유학생을 대상으로 한 장단 교육 = An education for Chinese studentsin Korean Universities under the subject ofJangdan in Korean music

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Due to the strike of COVID-19, a 2020 academic year underwent was very special semesters. The virus spread all around the world, and every school system was shut down at the same time including elementary, middle and high schools as well as universities. What it matters worse is that we are not certain about what future results will we get by the given education services during this period.
As Korean universities faced the crisis by reduction in the number of students, Chinese students studying in Korea could be an alternative breakthrough, and the numbers were increasing no later than COVID-19 outbreak. Meanwhile, Korean traditional music majored Chinese students also enrolled in some of Korean universities at graduate school level. They study Korean language, culture, and traditional music in Korea. However, in the field of traditional music, the theoretical readers or practical courses were not developed enough to be capable of these students.
Just in time, there was a lecture on the subject of Jangdan system in Korean music to Chinese students enrolled in a Korean university's graduate school course. Through almost a semester, it was a chance to figure out what factors and materials should be given to foreign students, especially Chinese students. Still, every classes were to be taught on-line due to the virus spread over the cities, and many lecture contents were new experiences and pioneering challenges at the same time. This article contains the lecture contents about the oral notations, not to mention of fundamental basic theories about Korean rhythms. After several weeks of lecture, the reactions from the students and the limitations under on-line based platform were logged so that its knowhow can be provided and shared to the academic field.
In a result, the deeper understandings about Korean music were studied, and certain cultural and linguistic aids are required to the relevant students. Additionally, language competency, traditional culture acceptance, and the practical chances are to be given to foreign students to overcome its limitations. Lastly, many versions of written materials in different languages are needed to enhance Korean music studies in the world.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

2020학년도는 코로나-19의 대유행 및 감염확산으로 인해 특별한 방식의 학교교육이 이루어졌다. 이는 대학교육 뿐만 아니라 초․중․고를 비롯한 모든 교육계가 동일하게 겪는 상황이었지만 이 과정에서의 교육효과가 어떤 결과를 가져올지 아직까지는 확실하지 않다.
국내 학령인구가 감소하는 상황에서 이미 코로나 사태 이전에도 중국 유학생의 한국 대학 진학은 증가하고 있었던 상황이고, 대학원의 경우에는 그 증가폭이 더 컸다. 한편 국악 관련학과의 대학원 과정에 진학한 유학생도 있어 한국어, 한국문화를 포함해 한국의 전통음악을 학습하고 있다. 그러나 중국어를 사용한 한국음악의 이론 및 실제에 관한 교육이 준비되어야 하지만 사실상 국악계 내부에서 이 영역의 대비는 충분히 못한 실정이다.
중국인 유학생을 대상으로 한국음악의 장단을 주제로 한 강의가 개설되면서 중국인을 대상으로 교육할 때 발생할 수 있는 특징을 현장에서 발견할 수 있게 됐다. 더욱이 미진한 현실상황이지만 때마침 발생한 코로나-19의 영향으로 온라인 비대면 수업으로서만 수업 진행이 가능했다. 본고는 이러한 상황 하에서 한 학기를 운영하면서 특히 한국음악 중 장단의 개념과 구음을 통한 실기교육 등을 강의한 내용을 담고 있다.
결론적으로 중국인 유학생에게 교육을 하는 과정에서 한국음악의 특징을 구체적으로 설명해내는 과정이 필요하다는 점검이 가능했다. 또한 중국인들에게 한국의 음악을 교육할 때에는 그에 상응하는 문화적, 언어적 맞춤교육이 필요할 것으로 보았다. 또, 한국어 능력, 전통문화 수용능력, 물리적 접촉 등의 현실적인 한계를 극복하고 국악계 내부에서 다양한 언어권으로 준비된 자료가 마련되어야 할 필요성을 제기했다.
