정보 원천 표현 및 정보 확실성 이해의 발달

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 정보 원천 표현 체계의 발달을 크게 세 차원에서 검토할 계획이다. 첫째, 정보 원천 표현들(-어, -대, -나봐, -것 같다 등)의 자발적 산출 시기와 사용 의미 및 실험을 통한 체계적 산출 시기 고찰(연구 1-1), 각 정보 원천 표현 유형(직접, 간접, 추론)들의 의미를 이해하는 시기의 실험적 연구(연구 1-2)를 통해 정보 원천 표현 습득 과정의 기준 자료를 마련할 것이다. 둘째, 아동이 정보 원천 표현을 활용할 수 있는 능력이 발달되는 시기를 실험적으로 연구(연구 1-3)하고, 정보 원천 표현 발달과 밀접한 타 인지 능력(정보 원천 탐지 능력, 작업 기억 능력 및 전반적 언어 발달 수준)과의 관계 조명(연구 1-4)을 통하여 정보 원천 표현 체계를 활용한 정보 확실성 판단 능력의 발달과 이에 관련된 인지 능력들을 검토할 것이다. 그리고 첫 번째와 두 번째 차원의 연구를 종합하여 한국어 습득 아동의 정보 원천 표현 체계 발달 궤도를 완성할 것이다. 마지막으로, 정보 원천 표현의 활용, 즉, 정보 확실성 판단의 발달(예, 직접 경험이 간접 보고보다 훨씬 정보의 확실성이 높다는 것의 이해)과정과 발달 기제를 실험적 접근법을 사용하여 연구할 것이다. 이 연구에서는 특히, 경험적 요소(예, 내가 직접 겪은 것이 남에게 들은 것보다 신뢰로운 정보원이라는 것)가 정보 원천 표현 활용 및 정보 확실성 판단 능력에 기여하는지를 중재 연구 패러다임을 적용하여 연구하여 이러한 인지 능력 및 의사 결정 능력의 발달 기제를 밝히고자 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The present research aimed to examine the development of evidentiality among Korean-learning children in three aspects: (1) when children come to master evidentiality in comprehension as well as production, (2) when children become able to reason about information sources and related information certainty, and (3) what other cognitive abilities contribute to the development of evidential reasoning abilities, using carefully controlled experimental methods and cross-linguistic comparative methods. The results of this research program thus far have suggested that comprehension and reasoning abilities of evidentiality emerge later than spontaneous use of the evidential markers. Maternal input, and the child's source monitoring abilities, working memory capacity, the child's tendency to trust adults' testimony were found to uniquely predict the reasoning abilities that would allow children to be able to identify more reliable source of information based on evidential markers.
