This study explores the relationship of modern technological development and science with the backdrop of modernity. As we learned from the scholars such as Foucault, Deleuze and Ellul, all modern technology are the realization of modern desires. Based on the factual stories on industrial revolution, this study investigates the meaning of modern technological developments. In this investigation, we can notice the obsession of scientific objectivism modern scientist had and the inclination for the notion of 'progress.' Based on the scientific obsession and the inclination for progress, modern society made their way to the full development of capitalistic society, and in tern the developed capitalistic society made rooms for the specified development of modern technology. Thus, modern society use technology and science as a vehicle for reflection and self-reflection, as a basis for thinking about themselves, about others and about the world to which they belong. With the advent of modern societies and technologies in the medieval and early modern periods, a systematic cultural transformation began to take hold.
