The 1998 Kyongju World Culture Exposition is held from September 11 to November 10 in Kyongju. The purpose of this study is to present planning criteria by forcasting demands of potential visitors which serve as indicators of planning, implementation, and transportations for the upcoming events. To achie ve this purpose, Digrino's Participation Model was applied to estimate the number of visitors from different areas. the average number of daily visitors, and the total number of visitors druing the whole period. As a result of the study, it is estimated that approximately 3.3 million people from around the world will visit the Culture Exposition.
