In this article, an inventory-transportation policy with one central and multi-local warehouse is examined.
The objective is to determine the order quantity and shipping frequencies to the local warehouse which minimize the total system cost over the finite planning horizon.
Chaning the carrying cost and transportation cost of the central and the local warehouse, the total system cost function is believed to be convex to downward.
Therefore, there will be an optimal inventory-transportation policy for this system.
The above cases are extended to the case of more realistic model by modifying the parameter.
The computer simulation algorism for probabilistic demand case is also deneloped.
