The original contribution of the present paper is to perform a steady state analysis of the Current-Fed Medium Frequency Bridge Inverter and to derive its basic operating characteristics. The results obtained are presented both analytically and graphical as a function of load and output frequency changer. These results permit a deeper uncerstanding of the inverter behavior and can be used by the designer to select the optimum circuit components.
This inverter can be especially useful as a medium frequency power source for induction melting.
