장애아동의 비장애 형제자매 지원중재에 관한 국내 실험연구 고찰 = A Literature Review of South Korea’s Experimental Research about the Intervention for Supporting Non-Disabled Siblings of Disabled Children

In this study, we investigated literatures done for ten years about an intervention for supporting non-disabled siblings of disabled children. The methods of investigation used in this study was giving a general description and understanding with quality indicators which can be a standard for evidence-based practice(EBP) in group experimental or quasi-experimental research suggested by Gersten et al(2005). First, In the aspect of research subject, most non-disabled siblings were under age 13, and the types of disability of disabled siblings were mental retardation and developmental disability(autism). In the aspect of the intervention, group art therapy was performed in many cases, however the intervention setting was not proposed in more than half of studies. And most interventions were performed on 1~10 sessions in intervention sessions. In the aspect of the intervention effect, stress level change was evaluated as the intervention effect, and most of studies did not measure the maintenance or generalization of the intervention effect. Second, In the satisfaction of the quality indicators, the levels of 4 indicators out of 10 in satisfactions were examined. The average of satisfaction was 55% in description of participant and setting, 61% in interventions, 74% in assessment and 100% in data analysis. Second, in the satisfaction of the quality indicators in examined studies, 5 literatures(29%) meet the 8 indicators, 8 literatures(47%) meet 7 indicators, 3 literatures(18%) meet 6, and 1 literature(6%) meets 4 indicators out of 10. Based on the result, we suggest that psychologically and emotionally the intervention supporting for the siblings of disabled children should be spread quantitatively in the field of south korea’s special education and community rehabilitation centers, etc. Furthermore the qualitative checkup and improvement of the intervention will be needed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 최근 10여 년 동안 이루어졌던 장애아동의 비장애 형제자매를 지원하는 중재에 관한 국내 실험연구들의 개괄적인 특성과 집단실험 및 준실험연구 증거기반 실제(evidence-based practices: EBP)의 기준이 되는 Gersten 등(2005)이 제안한 질적 지표를 기초로 장애아동의 비장애 형제자매를 지원하는 중재에 관한 국내 실험연구의 질적 지표 충족도를 파악하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 장애아동의 비장애 형제자매를 지원하는 중재에 관한 국내 실험연구들의 일반적인 특성을 알아본 결과, 연구대상 측면에서는 비장애 형제자매의 연령은 초등학년이 많았으며, 장애 형제자매의 장애유형이 정신지체와 발달장애(자폐)인 경우가 많았다. 중재내용 특성 측면에서는 중재방법으로 집단미술치료를 실시한 경우가 많았고, 중재환경은 절반 이상의 연구에서 환경을 제시하지 않았으며, 중재회기는 1~10회기로 실시된 연구가 많았다. 중재결과 측면에서 중재효과는 스트레스의 변화를 효과로 본 경우가 많았으며, 대부분의 연구에서 중재효과의 유지 및 일반화를 측정하지 않았다. 둘째, 장애아동의 비장애 형제자매를 지원하는 중재에 관한 국내 실험연구들의 질적 지표의 충족 정도를 알아본 결과, 질적 지표의 영역별 평균 충족률은 대상자 55%, 중재 61%, 결과 측정 74%, 자료 분석 100%로 나타났다. 또한 각 논문별로 질적 지표의 충족 정도를 알아본 결과, 전체 10가지 질적 지표 중 8개의 지표를 충족한 논문이 5편(29%), 7개의 지표를 충족한 논문이 8편(47%), 6개의 지표를 충족한 논문이 3편(18%), 4개의 지표를 충족한 논문이 1편(6%)인 것으로 나타났다. 이 같은 결과를 바탕으로, 장애아동의 형제자매의 심리적 정서적 지원을 위한 중재프로그램이 국내의 특수교육 현장 및 장애인복지관 등에서 양적인 확산과 더불어 장애아동의 형제자매를 위한 형제자매지원프로그램의 질적인 점검과 도약이 이루어지기를 제언하였다.
