대학 환경교육 교수자의 자기주도적 학습공동체 활동에 대한 연구

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 대학의 환경교육의 내실화를 위하여 연구자 본인이 강의 개선을 위한 실행 연구의 일환으로, 연구자가 강의 개선을 실행하는 과정에서 이루어지는 교수자의 학습공동체 활동이 강의 개선에 어떻게 반영되는지 알아보기 위하여 문화기술지 방법을 적용한 질적 연구이다.
연구자는 여러 대학의 환경교육 강사 2인과 함께 각자 담당하는 강좌 전반에 대하여 논의하는 모임을 연구 대상으로 하여, 학습공동체 활동의 내용이 본 연구자의 강의 개선에 어떻게 활용되었으며, 그 결과는 어떠했는지 살펴보았다.
연구 결과 대학의 환경교육 교수자들은 강의의 질을 높이는 것에 공통의 관심을 가지고 있었으며, 급변하는 환경교육의 내용과 이슈들을 적절히 재구성하여 강의에 반영하기 위하여 학습공동체 구성과 활동 필요성에 공감하였다. 모임에서 주로 이루어지는 활동은 새로운 이슈 및 주요 강의 내용과 관련된 교재와 동영상 자료의 공유와 이를 재구성하는 방법에 대한 논의이다.
학습공동체 활동을 통해서 연구자는 관심 영역의 확대와 주제별 전문성을 심화하는 경험을 하였다. 새로운 강의 자료의 공유와 활용법에 대한 논의는 연구자의 강의 개선에 도움이 되었으며, 학습자 특성과 수준에 맞는 강의법 개발에도 영향을 미쳤다.
본 연구는 질 높은 대학의 교양환경교육을 담보하기 위해서 교수자가 자발적이고 협력적으로 강좌를 개선해 가는 구체적인 선례가 될 수 있다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 또한 본 연구를 통해 얻은 결과는 순환적 연구 과정을 따라 개선된 좋은 환경 교육 강좌(프로그램)로 연구자 개인에게 있어 강의자로서 전문성을 신장시킬 수 있다. 이러한 연구 결과의 공유를 통해 환경교육의 발전에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This is follow-up study of the action research on the development and application of environmental education for the enrichment in liberal art. Ethnography was used to know the meaning of self-directed learning communities of environmental education lecturers at university. For this study, I composed a learning community with my academic colleague, and summarized the discussion about the overall of our lectures.
The results are as follows. The environmental education lecturers were interested in improving the quality of their lectures. They agreed that it is necessary to configure learning community in order to apply the rapidly changing environmental issues in teaching. The main activity of the learning community was to share teaching materials and discuss the teaching method.
The experience in learning community is meant to extend the interest on the different areas of the environment and would deepen the expertise of us. Discussion and sharing of teaching materials helped improve the lectures. In addition, I was able to develop a teaching method that is appropriate to the characteristics and levels of students.
