The purpose of this study is to find the mediating effects of self-control in relation to adolescent stress and juvenile delinquency. 5th year of Korea Youth Panel Survey data was used and the analysis target was 3,449 persons. Setting mediator and extra variables significantly correlated with criterion variable as covariates and applying the regression analysis and SPSS Macro as well as and bootstrapping method to verify the mediating effects of self-control in adolescent stress and juvenile delinquency. The result shows that a youth with high stress involves more juvenile delinquency. It has been analyzed that Self-control(Mediator) is fully mediated the impact of adolescent stress (Predicting variables) on juvenile delinquency(Criterion variable). We derive practical implications for decreasing juvenile delinquency by decreasing adolescent stress and increasing self-control as the Mediator.
