작은도서관 활성화를 위한 이용 행태 및 인식 연구:성남시를 중심으로 = A Study on the Usage Behavior and Perception for the Activation of Small Libraries in Seongnam-si

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aimed to derive an operational plan for establishing and revitalizing the developmental direction of small libraries by conducting surveys and focus group interviews with users, operators, and experts of small libraries. To analyze the usage behavior, a survey was conducted with residents and small-library users of Seongnam-si, which has the largest number of public small libraries in Gyeonggi-do. Another survey and focus group interviews were conducted with small library operators and experts to study their perceptions. Based on the survey results and focus group interview analysis, the operational strategies are summarized as follows: First, small libraries must secure finances and expand their operational workforces. Second, small libraries must strengthen their functions as spaces for promoting literacy and lifelong education, along with providing information. Third, local governments must form consultative bodies where stakeholders can exchange opinions concerning small library policies and plans.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 작은도서관 이용자의 이용 행태를 종합적으로 분석하고, 작은도서관 이용자 및 운영자의 인식을 연구함으로써 작은도서관 활성화 방안을 도출하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 전국 지자체 중 작은도서관이 가장 많은 경기도에서 공립작은도서관의 수가 가장 많은 성남시의 거주 주민 및 이용자와 운영자에게 설문조사와 표적집단인터뷰를 실시하여 이용 행태를 분석하고 인식을 연구하여 활성화 방안에 대한 의견을 도출하였다. 연구를 통한 작은도서관 활성화 방안 도출 결과는 다음과 같다.
첫째, 작은도서관은 재정 확보와 운영 인력 확충이 필요하다. 둘째, 작은도서관은 정보 제공과 함께 독서문화 및 평생교육 공간으로서의 기능을 강화할 필요가 있다. 셋째, 이해관계자들이 작은도서관 정책, 계획 등 의견을 교류할 수 있는 협의체를 구성해야 한다.
