경북지역의 역량분석과 지역발전전략 = The Analysis of Regional Capacities and the Strategy of Regional Development in Kyongbuk

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to analyse the regional capacities for considering the issues such as setting the goal, deciding initiatives and executive ability in establishing the regional development strategy. The major summary of this study is as follows;
First, in terms of its regional capacities, the region can be categorized as four types; type Ⅰ, where both industrial competitiveness and quality of life are healthy(central specialized area), type Ⅱ, where the competitiveness is healthy, while the quality is poor (suburban traffic nodal area), type Ⅲ, vice-versa(combined urban-rural unspecialized area), and finally type Ⅳ, both the items are pood(backward rural area).
Second, Since industrial competitiveness shows relatively higher correlation than the quality of life in the enhancement of regional capacities, the areas categorized as type Ⅳ, where both the competitiveness and the quality should be equally improved, need to strengthen the competitiveness in advance of the quality of life.
