村上春樹『騎士団長殺し』に描かれた記憶 = On the Memory Described in Haruki Murakami’s Killing Commendatore - Focusing on the Perspective of Music -

本論文は、村上春樹の最新作騎士団長殺しを音楽的観点を交えて考察したものである。騎士団長殺し は世界的絵画の巨匠である雨田具彦が モーツァルトのオペラ􋺷ドン․ジョバンニ􋺸を基に描いた絵画である。モー ツァルトが􋺷ドン․ジョバンニ􋺸を通して描いた世界観は、絵画の中だけではなく作品世界にも影響を及ぼしている。主人公｢私｣は絵画􋺷騎士団長殺
し􋺸と接触し、巨匠の過ごした空間を共有することで、雨田の暴力的な記憶を受け継ぐ。同時に隣人である免色渉の肖像画を描きながら、｢私｣は自身の内面に潜む暴力的な一面に気付く。􋺷騎士団長殺し􋺸には戦争などの歴史的暴力や、個人的な暴力など、村上春樹が戦後作家として感じた葛藤を存分に表現した作品だと言うことができる。これまでの作品に描かれた主人公たちのように、今回の作品にも主 人公の暴力的な内面とそれに対する葛藤、そして異界めぐりも鮮明に描か
れている。しかしながら􋺷騎士団長殺し􋺸には主人公の子供が登場し、これまでの作品との大きな違いが見られる。村上春樹作品の大きな特徴である音楽は、前述した作品変化にどのように関連しているのか、主人公｢私｣に影響を与えた音楽を中心に考察した。

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this article, we analyze Haruki Murakami’s latest novel Killing Commendatore from the perspective of music. “Killing Commendatore” is a picture portrayed by Tomohiko Ameda based on Mozart’s opera Don Giovanni. Mozart’s
worldview, which is described through Don Giovanni, is reflected in not only pictures but also the world of the novel. The main character “I” sees the picture “Killing Commendatore,” sharing the space where the great painter stayed and inheriting Ameda’s violent memory. At the same time, while depicting a portray of Wataru Menshiki, “I” is aware of his lurking violence.
Killing Commendatore can be regarded as a work which expresses Haruki Murakami’s sense of conflict which he has felt as a post-war writer, such as historical violence like wars and individual violence. As in the cases of characters that have been described in his previous works, the main character of the present novel is described as an individual who possesses violence and a conflict about it as well as otherworldly trips. In Killing Commendatore, however, a child of the main character is introduced, unlike Murakami’s previous works. In this
article, we analyse the way in which the concept of music, a distinctive feature of Murakami’s works, is connected to the aforementioned change and it affects the main character
