노인자원봉사자의 봉사활동 지속성 및참여도 영향요인 연구|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 노인자원봉사자의 인구사회적 특성, 참여동기, 자원봉사 관리과정, 대인관계, 자원봉사센터의 운영형태 등이 노인자원봉사활동의 지속성과 참여도(지속기간, 지속의지, 참여강도)에 미치는 영향을 파악하여 노인자원봉사활동의 지속성 및 참여도 증진을 위한 방안을 제시하는데 있다. 이를 위해 구조화된 설문지를 사용하여 서울 및 수도권지역 10개 자원봉사센터에 등록되어 있는 60세 이상 노인 356명으로부터 수집된 자료를 분석하였다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인자원봉사활동의 지속기간에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변수들은 자원봉사 관리과정에서의 교육 및 훈련과 자원봉사센터의 운영형태로 나타났다. 둘째, 노인자원봉사활동의 지속의지에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변수는 인구사회학적 특성 중 경제상태, 참여동기 중 가치추구, 재미추구, 그리고 자원봉사 관리과정 중에서는 지도감독, 평가 등으로 나타났다. 셋째, 노인자원봉사활동의 참여강도에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변수들은 인구사회학적 특성 중에서 건강상태와 경제상태였고, 참여동기 중에서는 보람추구, 자아실현추구, 사회적 보상추구, 대인관계에서의 동료 자원봉사자와의 관계로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 노인자원봉사자들의 지속성과 참여도 증진을 위해 건강증진 프로그램 개발, 경제적 실비보상, 다양한 프로그램의 개발, 자원봉사교육 전문강사육성, 자원봉사자들의 관계강화를 위한 공간마련, 자원봉사센터의 민관파트너십에 의한 관리방식과 관리자들의 역량강화 등이 필요함을 시사하고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to identify the factors affecting the continuation of volunteer activities by the elderly, including socio-demographic characteristics of elderly volunteers, their motivations to participate, volunteer management procedures, interpersonal relations, and managerial forms of volunteer centers. The study utilized a structured survey instrument to interview 356 elderly over the age of 60 who were registered in 10 volunteer centers across the Seoul and Gyeonggi province area. Data were analyzed through descriptive analysis, t-test ANOVA (followed up by a scheffe test), correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results of the research are as follows. 1) Of the various factors, the education and training involved in the volunteer management process and the managerial forms of volunteer centers affected the duration of elderly volunteer activities. 2) Among the socio-demographic characteristics of the elderly volunteers, economic status affected the elderly's willingness to continue their volunteer activities. Pursuit of values and fun, supervision and assessment also affected the duration of volunteer activities. 3) With regards to the degree of volunteer activity involvement, health conditions and economic status had effects among socio-demographic characteristics. Among participation motif, pursuit of rewarding experience and self-realization, pursuit of social compensation relationship with fellow volunteers also had effects. The results indicate the need for more development of various programs, including health promotion programs development of professional volunteer education instructors; social compensation; facilities for the strengthening of volunteers' interpersonal ties; and strengthening the capacity of volunteer program managers.
