      The purpose of this study is to establish a structural equation model that identifies factors affecting satisfaction with college major among nursing students in clinical practices. This study was based on The choice model of the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) to demonstrate a hypothetical model of the study. Personal Inputs, Background Contextual Affordances, Mediator Variable, and Choice Goals were four variables utilized to set up a frame of the study and to prove the appropriacy of the hypothetical model. The independent variables (Personal Inputs, Background Contextual Affordances, Mediator Variable) have sub-categories: Personal Inputs include resilience; Background Contextual Affordances cover academic stress, clinical practice stress, and social support; and Mediator Variable contains self-efficacy and outcome expectations. The dependent variable is Choice Goals which is students’ satisfaction with the nursing program.
      A paper survey was conducted among 306 nursing students in clinical practices attending universities in D, G, and U regions from December 27, 2021, to January 14, 2022. Having 95% of the response rate, 292 students returned the survey. Excluding 19 incomplete survey responses, 273 responses were used for the data analysis. The collected data were analyzed using SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 26.0.
      The following are the results obtained in this study,
      1) The values of the fit indices – CMIN/DF 2.071, GFI .882, AGFI .840, CFI .929, TLI .911, SRMR .065, RMSEA .063 – indicated the hypothetical model was reasonable and acceptable. Therefore, the hypothetical model was valid for representing and predicting the students’ satisfaction in nursing programs with clinical practice.
      2) With the verification of the hypothetical model, six and nine out of fifteen hypotheses were respectively supported and rejected. The model's explanatory power was 74.7 percent, indicating that the model can explain approximately three-quarters of the dependent variable (Choice Goals).
      3) The independent variables that had significant effect to the dependent variable (students’ satisfaction in nursing program with clinical practice) were resilience (γ=.612, p=.002), outcome expectations (β=.498, p=.003), and clinical practice stress (γ=-.246, p=.004).
      The most influencing factors in satisfaction in nursing program with clinical practice were resilience (sub-categories of Personal Inputs), outcome expectations (sub-categories of Mediator Variable), and clinical practice stress (sub-categories of Background Contextual Affordances). With respect to improve resilience, establishing diverse programs in and out of nursing major is suggested to help students forming positive self-concept and self-esteem, improving coping strategy, and strengthening internal control. In regard to achieve optimistic outcome expectations, it is requested to have positive self-assessment, strong belief in one’s ability and decision, and support from others. When the above suggestions are considered, the students are expected to lessen their clinical practice stress and to increase the satisfaction in their major.

      The purpose of this study is to establish a structural equation model that identifies factors affecting satisfaction with college major among nursing students in clinical practices. This study was based on The choice model of the Social Cognitive Career Theory (SCCT) to demonstrate a hypothetical model of the study.       D, G & U지역의 간호대학에 재학중인 임상실습을 경험한 간호대학생 306명을 대상으로 2021년 12월 27일부터 2022년 1월 14일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 배부된 설문지 중 292부를 회수하여 설문지 회수율은 95%였으며, 그중 응답이 불충분한 19부를 제외하고 273부가 자료분석에 사용되었다. 자료분석은 SPSS 26.0과 AMOS 26.0으로 하였다.
      본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다.

      3) 임상실습을 경험한 간호대학생의 전공만족에 영향을 주는 변인은 적응유연성(γ=.612, p=.002), 결과기대(β=.498, p=.003), 임상실습 스트레스(γ=-.246, p=.004)로 확인되었다.
      본 연구에서 전공만족에 영향을 주는 요인은 적응유연성, 결과기대, 임상실습 스트레스였다. 다양한 교과 외 활동을 통해서 적응유연성을 촉진시킬 수 있는 긍정적인 자아개념 및 자존감 형성, 대처 전략 향상, 내적 통제력 강화를 위한 다양한 프로그램 개발을 제안한다. 결과기대를 증진하는 방안으로는 자기 자신에 대해 긍정적으로 평가하는 노력, 자신의 역량과 결정에 대해 신념을 강화할 수 있는 연습과 이에 대한 주변의 지지가 필요하다. 마지막으로 임상실습 스트레스의 중재방안으로 적응유연성과 결과기대 증진 프로그램의 활용을 제안하다.
