NCTM의 수학교육 내용기준에 따른 우리나라 유아 수학교육 내용의 분석 = Analysis on the content of Early Childhood Mathematics Education according to Content Standards of NCTM

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the content of early childhood mathematics educationand to analyze it according to the standards for content of mathematics education suggested by NCTM.
The findings were as follows:
The content of early childhood mathematics education in Korea added two more factors such as classification, seriation to the five standards of NCTM, including number and operations, algebra, measurement, geometry, data analysis and probability. According to NCTM, classification and seriation were suggested to activity methods rather than math contents. NCTM put much emphasis on numbers and geometry as the key content, whereas the early childhood mathematics education in Korea highlighted classification and seriation. So there was an obvious difference between the former and the latter. NCTM also dealt deeply with a variety of content, while the early childhood mathematics education in Korea dealt with a rather restricted content.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 전국 4년제 대학과 전문대학 유아수학교육 강좌의 강의계획서 및 교재와 유치원 교육활동 지도자료집(교육부, 2000) 그리고 전국 공, 사립 유치원 교사 40명이 작성한 개념도를 통하여 유아수학교육의 내용을 알아본 후 이를 NCTM에서 제시한 수학교육 내용기준에 따라 분석하였다. 분석결과 우리나라 유아수학교육 내용은 NCTM에서 제시한 유아를 위한 수학교육 내용기준과 내용의 범위와 체계, 강조하는 영역에 있어 차이가 있는 것으로 나타났다.
