국제의료관광코디네이터 국가자격 시험에 대한 대구지역 보건의료 및 관광 전공 대학생들 간의 인식차이 = The Differences in the Perception of National Qualification Examination for International Medical Tour Coordinator among College Students in Healthcare and Tourism in Daegu Region

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The study was conducted to analyze the differences in perceptions of majoring in healthcare and tourism students' the international medical tourism coordinator national qualification examination for a basic data for improving the curriculum for human resource development that can be activated by the medical tourism industry. The survey form were formulated based on literature review and the survey was conducted to the university students college health department and tourism department of Dae-gu region by on-line. The 287 survey were collected and analyzed using a SPSS 21.0 program.
The results are summarized as follows. First, perceptions of healthcare major students’ the international medical tourism coordinator national qualification examination were higher than tourism major students’. Second, the employment prospect in field of a medical tourism was high both of healthcare and tourism major students but an employment interest of the healthcare major students’ was higher than the tourism major students’. Third, the respondents who answered that they have obtained the certificate responded more positive of healthcare major students’ than tourism major students’. The reason of not preparing the certificate was a difficulty of studying a foreign language for healthcare major students and lack of information for tourism major students. Fourth, the most difficult subject of certificate for healthcare and tourism major students was a ‘medical term and understanding of disease’ but the score of tourism major students was higher.
The implication of this study was need to improve the job promotion in field of medical tourism and the medical knowledge education program for tourism major students and the foreign language program for healthcare major students.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 보건의료 및 관광 전공 대학생들의 국제의료관광코디네이터 자격시험에 대한 인식 차이 규명을 통해 의료관광산업 활성화를 위한 인적자원 개발 커리큘럼 발전을 위한 기초자료를 제공하기 위해 수행되었다. 관련 선행연구들을 바탕으로 설문지를 작성하고 대구지역 보건의료와 관광분야 전공 대학생들을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 총 287부의 설문조사를 회신하여 SPSS 21.0을 활용하여 결과를 분석하였다.
분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 보건의료 전공자의 의료관광 관련 국가 자격증에 대한 인식이 관광 전공자들에 비해 높았다. 둘째, 보건의료 및 관광분야 전공자 모두 의료관광 분야로의 취업 전망을 높게 보았으나, 취업 관심도는 보건의료전공자들이 더 높았다. 셋째, 보건의료 전공자들이 관광 전공자에 비해 국제의료관광 자격증 획득에 더 긍정적이었다. 자격증 준비를 하지 않는 이유는 보건의료 전공자는 외국어 공부 어려움, 관광전공자는 정보부족을 꼽았다. 넷째, 국제의료관광코디네이터 자격시험 과목 중 두 전공 학생들 모두 ‘의학용어 및 질환의 이해’이 가장 어렵다고 답했으나 관광 전공자가 더 어렵다고 응답하였다.
이와 같은 연구결과를 통해 관광분야 대학생들을 대상으로 한 의료관광 분야로의 취업 홍보와 의학용어 등과 같은 의료분야 교육프로그램 마련이 필요하며, 보건의료분야 전공자들에 대한 외국어 교육이 강화될 필요가 있다는 점을 시사한다.
