After having immigrated to Noryung. Koreans organized several movement groups for independence and made a lot of struggles against Japan. For example, Sungmyungwhee(聲明會) and Kwonupwhee(勸業會), which succeeded to the ideology of the former, have been said to have been the major starting groups having developed national movements on a full scale. Centering around the above mentioned groups, they had founded many schools to give a national education to inspire national sences and ant. Japan spirits. The education contents of such schools were those for the pen and the sword, and for the train of independence soldiers. In addition, the groups put their hearts and souls into the independence movements by reclaiming wastelands to establish econmical bases and encouraging business activities, and publishing daily papers and magazines.
This paper aims to analize the role for the national aducation which had played in the alage of Korean Independence Movement.
This paper will show how Koreans in Noryung(露領) had educated themselves to inspire the national spirits, modernization ones, and anti-Japan ones by having established and managed schools, pursuing economical stability on the basis of Korean sexiety, but also which influence the education had on the independence Movement against Japan. We hope this paper would be helpful to let know the roles of education among the various devices for Independence Movement.
