日本語 談話의 諸樣相 = Some aspects of Japanese discourse

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Since Japanese is very sensitive to context and discourse setting, ellipsis has been known as one of the most characteristic features of Japanese. Because of this, Japanese has so many complex and enormous problems which are unsolved yet. Particulary if observed at the level of sentence, many morphological, and syntactic problems including some lexical items would remain unsolved in the field of Japanese education. In order to properly understand the Japanese language as it is used in real situation, in this paper, I attempt to examine the following Japanese grammatical aspects at the discourse level :
- units of Japanese discourse with regard to the structual patterns of discourse
- topicalization and alredy known as unknown facts with regard to the use of 'wa' and 'ga'
- adverbs of evaluation and assertion
- metaphorical and idiomatic expressions, connectives, and demonstratives such as(Ko, So, A)
- the following issues will be discussed when the above problems are dealt with :
- the relationship between sociolinguistics and discourse
- discourse and mood and modality
- discourse and pragmatics : undering factors of some speech acts and the rdlation between semantics and pragmatics
The problems to be discussed in this work would be helpful for the future research of contrastive analysis of Japanese and Korean by analysing misusage of many Japanese expressions at the discourse level. This will definitely pave a way for the systematic education of communicative grammar of Japanese.
