한국전쟁과 콜롬비아 폭력사태의 관계 연구: 『과달루페, 끝없는 세월』의 사회정치적 의미를 중심으로

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국전쟁을 작품의 주요 소재로 삼고 있는 현대 콜롬비아 문학 작품의 발굴과 분석 및 평가를 통해, 콜롬비아 지역에 대한 한국의 학문적 연구 지평을 확장‧심화시키려는 노력의 일환이다. 본 연구의 분석대상인 『과달루페, 끝없는 세월』(1976)은 한국전쟁을 중요한 동기로 사용하면서, 자국의 정치적‧문화적‧사회적 상황을 되돌아보는 작품이다. 콜롬비아뿐만 아니라 라틴아메리카 연극계에서 중요한 위치를 차지하고 한국전쟁을 주요동기로 사용하지만, 우리나라에서는 이 작품에 대한 연구나 분석이 전혀 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 본 연구는 한국전 파병과 그로 인해 형성된 개인의 변화를 심층적으로 점검함으로써 콜롬비아의 정치적‧사회적 맥락 속에서 『과달루페, 끝없는 세월』에 나타난 한국전쟁의 기능과 이 작품의 문학성, 그리고 콜롬비아 내전에서 한국전 참전용사의 역할을 분석하고 연구하고자 한다.
본 연구는 『과달루페, 끝없는 세월』이 다루는 1950년대와 ‘지금 이곳’ 관점의 중요성을 알아보고, 자유당과 보수당의 문제를 정치적·역사적 상황 속에서 설명하면서 순환구조의 의미를 포착한다. 그리고 열네 개의 파편적인 장면으로 구성된 이 작품을 시간 순서에 따라 재배열하여 각 시간대에 따른 주요 역사자료를 제공한다. 또한 공식판본과 대립되는 민중 판본으로 작용하는 민요 ‘코리도(corrido)’의 기능을 분석하고, 주요 작중인물인 로블레도를 통해 한국전쟁이 콜롬비아 보수당 정권의 문화적 식민지 정책에 이용되었으며, 한국전쟁 참전 용사들이 콜롬비아 동부 야노스의 대 게릴라 작전에 투입되었다는 사실도 밝힌다. 이렇게 작품 전체 속에서 한국전쟁이라는 부분이 어떻게 작용하는지 살펴본다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is an effort to discover and analyze the Colombian literary works about the Korean War. In Guadalupe años sin cuenta, the third collective creation of the Theatre Group ‘La Candelaria’, the Korean War is not a predominant topic over the whole work, but it constitutes the decisive factor for the transformation of the personage Joaquín Robledo. Also it is possible to observe that the veterans of the Korean War were used for the operation counter-guerrilla of the Oriental Llanos. This work narrates the socio-political and historical situations of the fifties, denouncing that the violence of that time even continues up to today.
This article emphasizes the perspective of ‘here-now’ for the historical events of the fifties and explains the problematics of the liberals and the conservatives in the socio-historical context in order to reveal the meaning of the circular structure of the work. Also, it elaborates the reorganization of isolated and fragmented fourteen scenes according to the chronological order, informing the important historical facts.
